Hana

Hana is a 1996 CMK Arabian mare.  Years ago, I travelled to an obscure corner of Oregon with a friend who was buying an Arab mare.  My friend bought that mare...and I called Jim to tell him that whenever he was ready to buy a horse of his own, I'd found a good candidate standing in the pasture next to my friend's new horse.  That was Hana.

Hana did a season of endurance in 2005, but we discovered that she's not quite sound enough for the rigors of the sport.  However, she is a splendid trail mare, very surefooted and confident, and willingly walks and trots trails all over the region for recreation.

Hana shows the versitility of the Arabian breed.  She will camp in a cowfield for a week, climb mountains and carry trail tools, and then perform in front of an audience. 

Truthfully, it's the audience she loves best. 

It's very difficult to take a bad picture of Hana.
